Fighting for Justice: Holding Corporations Accountable After Tragic Injury

Dana Wachs of our firm proudly represented a young Girl Scout member and her family in a significant product liability lawsuit following a devastating incident. While participating in a community service project cleaning up trash along a rural highway, the minor was struck and seriously injured by a vehicle. The driver, who lost control of his car, had inhaled aerosol dust remover—a product commonly abused for its intoxicating effects.

Aerosol dusters, marketed as dust and lint removers, are often misused to achieve a “high,” causing severe impairment due to the chemicals used as propellants. Tragically, this misuse led to the driver crashing into troop members and their families, resulting in life-altering injuries.

Our legal team pursued claims against the product’s manufacturer, distributor, and retailer, holding them accountable for the dangers posed by their product. The case reached a settlement, providing justice and support to the injured minor and her family.

We at GTW are steadfast in our commitment to holding corporations responsible for their dangerous products and advocating for the safety and well-being of our clients and the community. Cases like this highlight the importance of corporate accountability in preventing harm and ensuring safer products for everyone.
